The Problem

An organization needed to quickly send SMS and WhatsApp messages to hundreds of employees/customers; the official WhatsApp Business API's cost and integration time were disproportionate for this scale.

The Approach

Built an ASP.NET Core admin panel (groups, logs, settings); solved the WhatsApp side with a separate Node.js bridge service using the WhatsApp Web protocol. The two services were designed to work in coordination.

Engineering Highlights

  • Full management interface for groups, message logs and settings.
  • A gateway architecture unifying SMS and WhatsApp into one sending flow.
